Made with a soy sauce base for a primarily savoury/umami flavour, this sauce also contains plenty of yuzu citrus juice to add a contrasting hint of zesty citrus flavour and aroma. The balance between savoury and citrus makes this sauce ideal for enjoying with rich savoury foods such as nabe, grilled meats and fish, and gyoza.
Ponzu is a combination of soy sauce and citrus fruit (usually yuzu citrus).
